Computer Programs

This page contains computer packages which are available to download from this webpage. This software page contains links to capture-recapture programs hosted elsewhere.

Eagle

The package Eagle was written by Ted Catchpole and fits Freeman-Morgan type ring-recovery models. It is written in Matlab, however, it is conversational, and so you do not need to know Matlab in order to run the program. The package can be used to fit models using maximum likelihood and can also perform score tests for comparing different nested models.

Eagle can be downloaded here: Eagle. The folder also includes a tutorial style exercise sheet which is used as part of the MSc in statistics module.

Program Kalm

Program Kalm was written by P. Besbeas and is a piece of software capable of fitting integrated models to ring-recovery and census data. The software is written in Matlab, and is similar in conversational style to Eagle.

Kalm can be downloaded here: Kalm. The folder also includes a tutorial style exercise sheet which is used as part of the MSc in statistics module.
